Islander Pad Cutter

A diamond-tipped end mill to cut 5mm pads into copper ground plane

Download Manual:

DESCRIPTION:
This diamond-tipped end mill can be chucked up in a simple drill press (e.g., Dremel tool & stand) and used to cut 5mm circular "islands" in copper-clad pcb board material. Components may then be soldered to these isolated islands that serve as the circuit "nodes" that conventional Manhattan-pads provide. No snipping, no gluing and no pads popping off the board with this homebrewing technique! Cuts thousands of islands with need for replacement.

(illustrations shown above, and liberally used in the instruction sheets shipped with the pad cutters, were graciously supplied by master graphic artist Paul Harden, NA5N)
